Filtration

The filtration unit is debatably the most important part of your pond system. If your filter cannot cope with the 'waste load' your fish create the pond water will become polluted and in turn the fish will become sick and eventually die.

Unfortunately selecting the correct filter can be confusing - many manufacturers make exaggerated claims on the pond capacity their filters are capable of cleaning at a realistic stocking rate.
