Bio Logic Range
The following Bio Logic range of professional pond filter systems was designed and is manufactured by Koi Water Garden. The Bio Logic range offers large volume media area; efficient mechanical and biological filtration, low easy maintenance at an unrivalled price.
The Bio Logic can be either pump or gravity fed (except the UV Delux model if an external pump is used) - Please specify when ordering.
All Bio Logic filter units are constructed of tough fibreglass and include settlement brushes, Japanese matting, Aquarock media, brush support rods, media grids and 2 x 1½" waste valves.
Bio Logic Vortex 2000 & 3000 models
The Bio Logic Vortex settles heavy solids from pond water by means of centripetal force. Thus the water entering the main biological stage of the filter has already had the vast majority of heavy solid removed.
As the biological stage now has a "light load of waste" to deal with it will be able to cope with a larger volume of pond water. However, it is important that the 2" waste valve is purged for approximately 10 seconds at least once a week (preferably daily) to gain maximum benefit from a Vortex.
The Bio Logic Vortex's can be purchased separately and used on any suitable filter system. We recommend "slow flow adapter" (£19.99). If used on a pump fed basis - this allows greater settlement from pumped water.
Turbo Cleaners
Turbo cleaners are the most economically effective way of reducing dissolved organic matter that can endanger the ecological balance of the pond water and causes foaming on the surface.
The removal of the organic matter from the pond water results in greater efficiency in the biological filtration, increase in dissolved oxygen content of the pond water, reduces algae and blanket weed growth and clearer cleaner water without the addition of any chemicals.
